The Fairfield Beautification Commission consists of members who develop means, methods, and projects to beautify Fairfield. They serve as an advisory board to the Fairfield city council. They oversee the plantings in Central Park, the planters and baskets around Central Park and at the Arts and Convention Center. They partner with the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department on other landscaping projects such as the entrance signs, and coordinate efforts to control graffiti. They plan annual clean up days, encourage the maintenance of commercial buildings, and present the Rose Award to homeowners and businesses that display a high level of landscaping and architectural appeal.
Our mission is to develop a welcoming environment for both citizens and visitors alike. It is our hope that through our examples we will inspire others to do their part to help beautify Fairfield.
